Volunteer for A Committee - 2009-10 Year

We are very proud to be part of the Frost School PTA community. As a Frost School parent, we have the ability to participate in activities that benefit our children. And not to mention, it is also a lot of fun. When you volunteer for a committee, it builds a sense of community, the children are proud to see their parents involved and the children also want to become more involved in their school. It teaches the children the power of volunteering and community participation. That is why we ask that you volunteer to chair a committee.

Attached is a list of PTA activities planned for the children for the 2009-2010 year. We are looking for volunteers to chair these committees. As a chairperson, you are responsible to oversee the entire event. Chairpeople handle all the planning and promotion of the event. This year each new chairperson of the activity will meet with the chairperson who had responsibility of the event the previous year. This will take place during an evening in June. We encourage you to sign up to chair an activity with a friend or make a new friend by signing up to chair an activity. In addition if you have chaired an activity this year, please sign up again for the 2009-2010 year.

Please take a moment to review the attached list. Please indicate your preference choices on the PTA Committee form by writing 1, 2, 3… next to those committees. Then send this form back to school in an envelope marked “PTA Committees” by Friday, May 1st.

Please keep in mind, if we do not have enough people to volunteer for a committee, we will unfortunately have to cancel that event or activity.

If you have any questions about any of the committees, please feel free to contact any of us at the numbers listed below. Our goal is to contact the new Committee Chairs by the end of May. A full description of each committee can be found on the PDF below:

Committee Descriptions

Your children, as well as all of the children at Frost School, appreciate and benefit from whatever involvement you can give. We are looking forward to working with all of you!!

The April edition of Frost PTA's S.P.E.A.K. Newsletter was recently emailed out. Yes, emailed. Starting with this April edition, we will now be sending the newsletter out via email. If you did not receive the email, you can see the newsletter by clicking on the link below.

SPEAK Newsletter - April Edition

If you want to add your email address to the distribution list so you will receive valuable information about Frost PTA including this newsletter, please submit your email in the field on the right hand side of this page .

Migrating the SPEAK Newsletter to email is part of Frost PTA's goal of "going green", as doing this will save time, money, and trees since we will not need to produce a paper edition. But for those of you who need it on paper, don't worry! If you want to print it out, simply go to the web page version of the newsletter and click the Print button on your browser and the newsletter will print out in an easy to read format.
